Jeff Cooper at Radio 2XS

All at Radio Caroline

Tony Marks at Juice in Brighton

Marc Lungley at The Bridge Radio

Jim Gellatly at Amazing Radio

Jim Beerman at Top Rock Radio

And anyone else we missed – sorry and THANKS!  Contact us and let us know, and we’ll get some more stuff out to you!

You can download the e.p. here and we’ll keep you posted on future releases. We’re sure it won’t be long until the big boys come sniffing about going on the quality of this e.p. and the live performance we witnessed at the Birmingham O2 Academy at their first Emma Scott Presents gig on Saturday May 5th. Blew everyone away!

Well done O.W.L.S. We love you guys!

O.W.L.S – The Rite Of Spring – EP

2nd May 2012 by admin

Brighton based 4 piece band O.W.L.S have announced details of their debut release ‘The Rite Of Spring – EP’ released worldwide digitally through In At The Eye Records from Friday 27th April.

The EP will be available around the globe on iTunes, Amazon, 7 Digital, Spotify and all other good digital retailers. The Seven track mini-monster was recorded by O.W.L.S long time friend Michael “Padge” Padget whom you may know as guitarist in Bullet For My Valentine. The EP was mastered by one of O.W.L.S’ other friends Nick Brine whom you may have also heard of from his work with Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Darkness, Ash, Bruce Springsteen, Arctic Monkeys and many more.

O.W.L.S hail from Brighton where art, punk rock, alternative lifestyles and all kinds of other cool shit is encouraged and nurtured. Toby Macfairlaine, Richie Edwards, Oliver Wickham & Steven Gilchrist all went to the same school in the olden days. Richie and Toby were in the band, The Stone Gods with post the Darkness Dan Hawkins. Toby and Steven are also the current rhythm section for Blur guitarist’s Graham Coxon’s solo project. They all got together to make sweet music and O.W.L.S is that love child….

O.W.L.S are very much influenced by Toby’s obsession with the noise that came out of the pacific Northwest of America in the late 80′s and early 90′s think Nirvana, Mudhoney, Butthole Surfers, The Melvins, Screaming Trees , Queens Of The Stone Age and Soundgarden.
